In Netherlads he is called "Apple bandit", in Ireland and UK "Orchard thief", and in most other countries he is called the "Apple thief": "Ladron de manzanas" in Spain, "Stibitzer" in Austria, "Milokleftis" in Greece, "Jabolèni tat" in Slovenia, "Kradec na jablki" in Bulgaria, similarly in Czech republic (CC.I ID 91505). Only Croats and Serbs had to get creative, and market it as "Stari lisac" (Old fox) in Croatia and Bosnia, and "Sajder bandit" (Cider bandit) in Serbia. In Greece and Bulgaria it also comes in cherry flavor, unlike other ciders that are mainly from apple.
